Heather Stamenov is a painter, educator, and arts administrator based in Park City, Utah. Her work explores the relationship between body and landscape, depicting women moving through natural environments in unexpected and often physically impossible ways. Swimming through snow, climbing, hanging, balancing, and drifting through expansive terrain, her figures exist in states of tension between vulnerability and strength, humor and seriousness, reality and invention.

Heather holds a BFA in Painting and a BA in Art Education from Herron School of Art and Design and an MFA in Painting from the University of Connecticut. Her work has been exhibited nationally and she has participated in artist residencies including the Vermont Studio Center, Teton Art Lab, and the Stutz Artist Residency. She is currently an Artist in Residence with the Park City Summit County Arts Council.

Alongside her studio practice, Heather has dedicated her career to expanding access to the arts through education and community engagement. Since 2017, she has served as Education Director at Kimball Art Center, where she oversees programs that connect thousands of students, families, and community members with contemporary art experiences. She also serves on Park City’s Public Art Advisory Board, advocating for public art and creative opportunities throughout the community.

Whether painting, teaching, or building arts programs, her work is rooted in the belief that art creates meaningful connections—between people, ideas, and the landscapes we move through and are shaped by.
